The Niagara Convention brings New Democrats together to chart the path to victory

NIAGARA FALLS — New Democrats from across the province will gather in Niagara Falls from September 19th to 21st for their bi-annual provincial convention. The Niagara Convention is a pivotal moment to set the party’s path to victory for the 2029 election.

“Niagara is where the Ontario NDP was born in 1961, and this year it becomes our launchpad to build a future working people can afford”, said Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles. “This is where we come together as a movement, sharpen our ideas, grow our team, and get ready to win.”

The weekend will bring delegates together to debate and pass resolutions that will be critical in shaping the party’s offer to Ontarians, hear from exciting speakers, elect the next Ontario NDP Executive, and take part in training and strategy sessions to prepare for the next provincial election.

“The Niagara Convention is more than just an event. It’s a mission — a mission rooted in the Ontario NDP’s long-standing values of social democracy, solidarity, and real solutions for working people.”
