Wayne Gates is working to strengthen Ontario by protecting public health care, defending workers’ rights, and fighting for good jobs across Niagara.

Since 2014, Wayne has served as MPP for Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and Niagara-on-the-Lake. He is the Shadow Minister for Long-Term Care, with responsibility for Homecare and Retirement Homes — and a lifelong advocate for seniors, workers, and public services.

Wayne has led the charge against hydro privatization and unfair gas prices, and has a proven track record of saving local jobs in manufacturing, tourism, and transportation. As a former city councillor and union leader, Wayne knows how to get results — and he fights every day to keep health care public, make life more affordable, and bring fairness to Niagara’s economy.
